Autograph letter by Rev. H. W. Wasse (English Chaplain in Rome) to Walter Severn
Not surprised at Dr Valeriani’s doings. Question of monument for Joseph Severn will have to wait until more people return to Rome. Will discuss storage of paintings with Vincent Eyre. Vincent Eyre could not find room for them in frames. Asks for Walter’s advice on whether the paintings would be more likely to sell in London. In the meantime, Wasse could keep the pictures in Italy, church attic perhaps. (the paintings were taking up a lot of room and Valeriani needed to rent out Severn’s old quarters).
