Piazza di Spagna, 26 Rome

Visit the Keats-Shelley House and experience how Keats, Shelley, and Byron lived. We are situated in central Rome next to the Spanish Steps, near the Trevi Fountain and the Villa Borghese.

The nearest Metro stop is Spagna, on Line A, which is 2 minutes walk from the museum.

Parking in central Rome can be difficult and visitors should remember that non-residents are not allowed to drive into the centro storico on weekdays and Saturday mornings. The museum, however, is located near the edge of the restricted traffic zone (ZTL), and there are two pay-per-hour car parks near the museum which are accessible to non-residents on any day of the week: ParkSì, which provides underground parking in the Villa Borghese (Viale del Galoppatoio), and Parking Ludovisi, which is located at the junction of Via Porta Pinciana and Via Ludovisi.

Advice to Visitors

The museum is at its busiest in October and at Easter. If you plan to visit the House at this time then we would advise you to arrive early, when the museum opens at 10am. (11am on Saturdays).

Visitors will be asked to leave large bags in the entrance. Photography is allowed without flash. Our museum staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have upon your arrival.
