TWO SPECIAL EVENTS FOR THE ANNIVERSARY OF JOHN KEATS'S DEATH
On Thursday 23rd February, on the occasion of the 202nd anniversary of John Keats's death, the Keats-Shelley House will hold two special events.
At 5 p.m. join us here at the Keats-Shelley House for a talk in English by our Deputy Curator, Dr Luca Caddia, on Keats's final days. Dr Caddia will retrace the steps of Keats's final months, from his voyage to Italy to his tragic death in Rome, at his final dwelling place here in Piazza di Spagna 26.
Admission is included in the standard entrance ticket but booking is mandatory due to the limited number of seats. To book your tickets, please write to info@ksh.roma.it.
At 8 p.m. EST tune in to our YouTube Channel for the launch of a new video: 'Keats-Shelley 200: A Special Tour of the Non-Catholic Cemetery,' our final event of the Keats-Shelley 200 programme.
In October 2022, friends and poetry lovers gathered at the Non-Catholic Cemetery in Rome to tour the grounds, visit John Keats's and Percy Bysshe Shelley's graves and hear readings of their poetry, introduced by Keats-Shelley 200 Ambassador and BBC Presenter, Reeta Chakrabarti and read by actor, Fred Fergus.
The video will premiere here.
