A LECTURE ON KEATS HOUSE IN HAMPSTEAD BY ANNA MERCER ON THURSDAY 2ND MARCH AT 5 P.M.

On Thursday 2nd March at 5 p.m. the Keats-Shelley House will host a lecture by Dr Anna Mercer on the Keats House in Hampstead, in London. 

Dr Mercer, a Lecturer in English Literature at Cardiff University as well as Mary and Percy Shelley scholar, will mostly focus on the Shelleyan objects in their collection, and will also present their new exhibition Young Romantics in the City, which she co-curated and which explores the writers and writing of the Romantic period, through the interconnected themes of Politics, Class, Gender and Race. The exhibition opened on 16th February 2023 and will be on view until 4th February 2024.

 

ADMISSION IS FREE OF CHARGE but booking is mandatory due to the limited number of seats (write to info@ksh.roma.it). Entry will be allowed from 4:45 p.m.

 

Dr Anna Mercer is a Lecturer in English Literature at Cardiff University, UK. She has published several articles, chapters, and one monograph on Mary and Percy Bysshe Shelley and their collaborative literary relationship. She is currently editing the selected works of Mary Shelley for Oxford University Press, and with Cian Duffy, the Shelleys’ History of a Six Weeks’ Tour for Oxford World’s Classics. She is the Communications Officer for the British Association for Romantic Studies (BARS) and also works with the Keats-Shelley Association of America (K-SAA) and Keats House Museum.
