Autograph note by Sir Rennell Rodd
Rodd relates that the dagger was brought to him by Colonel Call on behalf of his wife (Trelawny’s daughter), who 'desired that it should be deposited in the Keats-Shelley Memorial House. He explained that it was handed to Trelawny by a beggar in the crowd to defend himself with if necessary on the occasion of the Masi affair at Pisa.'
