Miniature of Tom Keats?
This portrait was found in 1926 in an antique dealer’s on the Via del Babuino, with the word ‘Keads’ written on a piece of paper loose in the frame. Keats’s biographer Robert Gittings believed that it showed Tom Keats at the age of about 16 or 17, and was by Joseph Severn. It may have belonged to Severn and been sold in Rome after his death.
